my creations, part one

I'd love to show you a few works from my own portfolio. I usually stick to Adobe InDesign and Fireworks, though I've dabbled in Illustrator a bit, too. My boyfriend, Alex, (who I'm sure I'll mention a ton) suggested and urged that I buy InDesign, since he saw my burgeoning interest in the graphic arts, including editorial layouts and print design. He really inspires me to keep creating.




Here was my plan of action from the beginning: (1) pick out some of my favorite layouts from magazines I have lying around, (2) using InDesign, attempt to recreate the layout, detail by detail, exactly as shown (using my own photos). That's all! Well, it's only two steps but does take quite the effort to make it as precise as possible. It helps that I'm quite the perfectionist.

  1. i've actually never used indesign before... i'm vaguely familiar with illustrator and a little more familiar with photoshop... but looking at your work with indesign, i really like it!!
